About the Artist & Studio
Village Ceramics & Crafts creates handmade raku pottery and kiln-cast glass in Lincolnshire. Each piece is handmade and typically one-off, with finishes that reflect the natural alchemy of fire and smoke.

Care & Materials (Raku & Glass)
Raku pottery is decorative and non-waterproof. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid soaking, detergents, and prolonged moisture. Cast/kiln-cast glass should be cleaned with a soft microfibre cloth; avoid abrasives and impact. Use felt pads under heavier pieces.

Commissions & Bespoke
At Village Ceramics & Crafts we don’t currently accept commissions for pottery pieces. Over time, we’ve found that made-to-order work can sometimes lead to disappointment when expectations differ from our creative process or the final result. Each of our pieces is individually crafted, and part of their charm lies in the spontaneity of making and firing — especially with techniques like raku, where no two outcomes are ever the same. For that reason, we prefer to focus on creating original work that truly reflects our own artistic vision, and to offer those finished pieces for sale once they’re complete.
