I’m thrilled to share an exciting chapter in my creative journey! Back in 2003, while cruising the majestic Nile, I encountered a stunning stained glass window on the historic steamship SS Karim. Its vibrant colours and intricate design captured my imagination and sparked a passion that I still carry today.

A Journey of Inspiration and Craftsmanship

Inspired by that unforgettable moment, I returned home with a burning desire to recreate that beautiful piece of art. Thanks to the skills I honed through my City & Guilds training in stained glass, I set out on a creative adventure. Piece by piece, I poured my heart into making a replica of the window, and I was absolutely enamoured with the result! The intricate details and luminous colours brought back those magical memories of the Nile, infusing the piece with both history and personal passion.

A Long-Awaited Homecoming

For over 20 years, this cherished panel resided in storage, waiting for the perfect place to shine. And now, the wait is over! I’ve finally found a spot where this piece of art can be proudly displayed for everyone to enjoy. To say I’m over-the-moon is truly an understatement – it feels like a dream come true to see my hard work and inspiration showcased after all these years.

Celebrating the Journey

This experience has been a beautiful reminder that inspiration can strike at any moment and that every journey has its milestones. Whether it’s a forgotten piece rediscovered or a new creation finding its place in the world, the magic of art lies in its ability to transform our lives.

Thank you for sharing in my excitement and for supporting this creative journey. I hope my story inspires you to pursue your passions and never let your art remain hidden away. Here’s to many more adventures in creativity!
